Gang Resistance Education and Training (G.R.E.A.T.) is a gang and violence prevention program built around school-based, law enforcement officer-instructed classroom curricula. The program is intended as an immunization against delinquency, youth violence, and gang membership for children in the years immediately before the prime ages for introduction into gangs and delinquent behavior.

G.R.E.A.T. lessons focus on providing life skills to students to help them avoid using delinquent behavior and violence to solve problems. The G.R.E.A.T. Program offers a continuum of components for students and their families.

The G.R.E.A.T. Program is a 13 week program currently being taught in the 7th grade by Sgt. Charles Brooks and Sgt. Patrick Morgan, who are both certified G.R.E.A.T. instructors through the Midwest Atlantic Region G.R.E.A.T. training center. The program reaches approximately 200 middle school age children in Manchester Township each year.
