On Monday, June 16, 2025, at approximately 7:50 AM, officers from the Manchester Township Police Department responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the area of County Route 571 and Beacon Street. Upon arrival, officers observed a red 2013 Volvo S60 and a gray 2017 Chevrolet Camaro with extensive front-end damage obstructing the roadway.

The driver of the Volvo, identified as 37-year-old Livingston Pacheco-Borja of Manchester, NJ, was transported by ambulance to Community Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The front-seat passenger of the Volvo, 39-year-old Natalia Aguilar-Molina, also of Manchester, NJ, was transported to the same facility with similar injuries.
The driver of the Chevrolet, 31-year-old Deron Edmond Jr. of Manchester, NJ, was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries and declined further medical treatment.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the Chevrolet had been stopped at the stop sign on Beacon Street, intending to make a left turn onto CR-571. While waiting for traffic to clear, an unknown vehicle traveling in the right lane of eastbound CR-571 stopped to allow the Chevrolet to proceed. As the Chevrolet began to make its left turn, it was struck by the Volvo, which was traveling eastbound in the left lane of CR-571.

All occupants involved in the crash were reported to be wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision.
Emergency medical personnel from both Manchester and the Toms River Division of Emergency Services, along with paramedics from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Priced Rite Towing, responded to assist at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation. At this time, failure to yield the right of way appears to be the primary contributing factor. The investigation is being conducted by Patrolman Keith Douglas of the department’s Traffic Safety Unit.
