Members of the Manchester Township Police Department proudly joined with law enforcement agencies from throughout Ocean County on Friday, May 15, 2026, to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the line of duty at the 35th Annual Ocean County Law Enforcement Memorial Day observance.
.Today, we honored and remembered members of our department, Ptl. Robert Tobias, End of Watch May 17, 1975, and Cpl. Scott Thompson, End of Watch April 10, 2015. We also joined with Ptl. Ashley Ventura, who recently joined our department, to honor her father, Ptl. Robert Ventura of the Jackson Police Department, End of Watch March 18, 2001. Family members and officers from multiple agencies came together to pay their respects by laying a rose at the Ocean County Honor Roll memorial.

Thank you to the County, all of the guest speakers including Ocean County Commissioner Frank Sadeghi, who delivered the keynote address, performers from the OCVTS Performing Arts Academy and Pt. Pleasant Borough High School, and Honor Guard units for making this memorial gathering such a memorable and moving event each year.
