On Thursday, July 8, 2021, at approximately 3:40 pm, officers of the Manchester Township Police Department’s Narcotics Enforcement Team, arrested Alexander Laboy, age 22, of Absecon NJ, following a motor vehicle stop and roadside investigation.

Members of the Manchester Narcotics Enforcement Team conducted a motor vehicle stop of Mr. Laboy’s Jeep Cherokee in the area of Pemberton Street and Lawrence Avenue, in the Pine Lake Park section of Manchester Township, after observing multiple motor vehicle violations. During the stop, Mr. Laboy provided police officers with a false name and was found to be in possession of a knife which had been concealed within the inner waistband of his underwear.

As the investigation continued, Mr. Laboy was also found to be in possession of approximately 550 bags of heroin, street value of $1,800, as well as a quantity of prescription medication, all packaged for distribution.  Mr. Laboy was subsequently arrested without incident.

Mr. Laboy was processed and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin, Providing False Information to Law Enforcement, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, and additional Controlled Dangerous Substance offenses.

Assisting with the investigation were Manchester Ptl. Michael Steffen, K-9 Ptl. Marc Micciulla of the Manchester Police Canine Unit and his K-9 partner, Roc.
