Two 19-year-old Trenton residents were arrested by members of the Manchester Township Police Department’s Narcotics Enforcement Team for drug offenses after the car they were in was stopped in the western section of the township on Friday. During the stop, Nyqua J. Reed and Diavian K. Jiles were found to be in possession of heroin.

On August 28, 2020, members of the department’s Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET) were conducting surveillance when they observed a vehicle driving on State Highway 70 in the area of New Jersey Way. The vehicle was stopped for a motor vehicle violation and a subsequent investigation led to the search of the vehicle. During the search, officers located and seized 1,000 wax folds of heroin with an approximate street value of $5,000.00. 

Reed was ultimately charged with Possession of Heroin, Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Loitering to Distribute Heroin, Obstruction and Failure to Surrender CDS. Jiles was charged with Possession of Heroin and Failure to Surrender CDS. 

Additionally, a quantity of cash and their vehicle were seized during the investigation, which is pending forfeiture.

Assisting in the investigation were members of the department’s K-9 Unit and Patrol Bureau.
