During the month of August, the Manchester Township Police Department investigated two separate burglaries to the Circle K convenience store located at 2001 Ridgeway Road in the eastern section of the township. Both burglaries occurred in the early morning hours when the store was closed and both took place within a seven day period.

In both burglaries, members of the Manchester Police Department were summoned and responded to the Circle K convenience store in response to intrusion alarms.  The investigation determined that the suspect had entered the building through the roof HVAC system and departed prior to police arrival.  As a result of in-store camera surveillance, evidence recovered at the crime scene, and anonymous tips received from the public, Andrew Norris age 25 of Third Avenue in the Pine Lake Park section of Manchester Township was identified as the suspect.  A warrant was issued and he was subsequently arrested in the Whiting section of Manchester Township on December 17, 2019, by members of the Manchester Police Patrol Bureau.

Mr. Norris was charged with 2 counts of burglary, 1 count of theft, 1 count of criminal attempt theft, 1 count of criminal mischief, and 1 count of obstruction of justice.  He was processed and then transported to the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.
