On 05/25/13 at approximately 2:30 a.m.,  Manchester Police received a call from a female resident of Pine Lake Park, stating that someone was attempting to break into her house.  Officer Adam Guker responded to the 1300 block of Fourth Avenue and observed a 39 year old male, Michael Marone, attempting to leave the rear yard of the property.  Mr. Marone, of Second Avenue in Pine Lake Park, was detained while Sergeant Richard Mazza and Officer Steven Wendruff arrived at the scene.  The investigation revealed that Mr. Marone was extremely intoxicated and attempted to gain entry into the front door of the residence.  Mr. Marone kicked the front door several times and damaged the door latch.  He then successfully gained entry through an unlocked rear door, where he was confronted by the resident.  Mr. Marone was placed under arrest.  Mr. Marone stated that he thought that he was locked out of his own house and did not know where he was.  Mr. Marone was charged with Criminal Trespass, Criminal Mischief, and Disorderly Conduct.  He was released on summonses.  This matter is pending court action.

Residents are reminded to keep their doors and windows locked at all times.
