On April 28, 2025, at approximately 2:10pm officers of the Manchester Township Police Department were dispatched to the area of Mount Misery Road and Pasadena Road for the report of a two-vehicle crash involving a dump truck and a SUV, with both vehicles being fully engulfed by fire. Upon arrival, officers observed a 2023 red Kenworth Dump Truck facing east on the grass shoulder and wood line portion of the northeast travel lane of Pasadena Road with extensive front-end damage and fully engulfed in flames, and a 2023 silver Toyota Highlander overturned on the grass shoulder of the southeast travel lane of Pasadena Road. The driver of the dump truck was identified as 51-year-old, Stacy W. Clay of Toms River, NJ who suffered a complaint of pain to her lower body. The driver of the Toyota Highlander was identified as 22-year-old, Jack P. Lisowsky of Manchester, NJ, who was deceased as a result of the injuries sustained from the crash.
The crash investigation revealed that the dump truck was traveling northeast on Pasadena Road. The Toyota was traveling southeast on Pasadena Road. Evidence at the scene of the crash indicates the Toyota crossed over the centerline and impacted the dump truck with the front driver side of the vehicle. After the initial impact, the Toyota overturned and came to its final rest on its roof facing west on the grass shoulder of southeast Pasadena Road. The dump truck after initial impact continued to travel northeast and left the roadway to the right impacting several trees. The dump truck came to final rest with the front end against a tree facing east on the grass and wooded portion of northeast Pasadena Road.
As a result of the collision a large portion of the wooded area adjacent to the crash sight was set ablaze. Additionally, an adjacent grass field caught fire and prompted a large fire department response.
Assisting at the scene were Fire Fighters and EMT’s from the Manchester Township Division of Emergency Medical Services, Fire Fighters from New Jersey State Forest Fire Service, Whiting Volunteer Fire Department, Joint Base McGuire Dix Lakehurst Fire Department, Forked River Volunteer Fire Department, Woodland Township Volunteer Fire Department, Paramedics from Robert Wood Johnson, Ocean County Sheriff’s Department, New Jersey State Police, Ocean County Road Department, and Accurate Towing Service. The roadway remained shut down for several hours. The investigation into the crash is still ongoing, but at this point failure to maintain lane is the primary contributing factor in the crash. This crash is being investigated by Patrolman Conner Yatauro of the Manchester Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit.
