A Manchester man has been arrested following a three week heroin distribution investigation by the Manchester Township Police Narcotics Enforcement Team (N.E.T.).

Police executed a Court authorized search warrant on May 23 at a Beechmont Street residence after an investigation and surveillance led to information about drug activity at that location.

Glenworth O. Guiste, 38, of Beechmont Street, Manchester was found to be in possession of a quantity of heroin, a firearm and more than $1800.00 in cash. The cash is believed to be proceeds of heroin sales which occurred in the Manchester Township area.

Guiste was subsequently charged with distribution of heroin, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and certain persons not to possess weapons.  Total bail was set at $85,000.00 and he was later transported to the Ocean County Jail in default of bail.  The heroin, cash, firearm and 2003 Ford Explorer were seized by police.

Assisting with this investigation were members of the Toms River Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team, the Manchester Police Investigations Bureau, Manchester Police K-9 Unit and Manchester Police Patrol Bureau.
