Members of the Manchester Police Narcotics Enforcement Team (N.E.T.) arrested a Lakewood woman and an East Orange man for drug possession after a motor vehicle stop in the parking lot of a Route 37 business.
On Friday, September 23, 2016, at approximately 1700 hours, members of the N.E.T. stopped a 2015 Nissan Sentra being operated by Kyle Smart, 28, of Hollywood Avenue (East Orange) in the parking lot of a Route 37 Business. Upon approaching the vehicle, the front seat passenger, Myasia Fenn, 29, of Albert Avenue in Lakewood, was observed by officers hiding contraband, suspected of being drugs. Subsequent investigation revealed that Fenn and Smart were in possession of quantities of Oxycodone tablets, Xanax tablets and under 50 grams of marijuana.
Both subjects were arrested and transported to Manchester Police headquarters. Fenn was charged with possession of Oxycodone and possession of Xanax. Smart was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were later released on complaint summonses.
Also assisting with this investigation were members of the Manchester Police Patrol Bureau which included Manchester Police K-9 Lynk.
