Manchester Township Police have charged a second individual in connection to a burglary spree spanning several Manchester senior villages which occurred in late-2013.
Frederick C. Monahan III, 32, of Sunset Road in Whiting, was issued a criminal summons on May 6 for one count of possession of stolen property following further investigation into the burglaries.
Originally, Kevin M. Monahan of Union Avenue in Lakehurst was charged with 11 counts of possession of stolen property on April 18 following a lengthy investigation into a combined 20 burglaries and attempted burglaries which occurred in Crestwood Village V and VI, Country Walk and Whiting Station between November 16 and December 21 of 2013. Police in Manchester were assisted in their investigation by officers of Beachwood, Toms River and Howell.
Since then, Manchester Police continued the investigation, executing search warrants at homes on Sunset Road in Whiting, Union Avenue in Lakehurst, and Veedeer Lane in Bayville. A search warrant also was executed on a vehicle on Lake Street in Lakehurst. That continued investigation led to the charge for Frederick C. Monahan.
