A Jersey City man is facing charges of heroin, MDMA (Ecstasy) and marijuana possession after an investigation that was conducted by the Manchester Township Police Narcotics Enforcement Team.
Daquan E. Clinton, 25, of Van Wagenen Avenue, Jersey City, has been charged with possession of heroin, possession of MDMA (Ecstacy), possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Manchester Police Narcotics Enforcement Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on a Mazda Protege in the parking lot of the Quick Chek, located at 3001 Ridgeway Road on June 28, 2015, at approximately 9:40 p.m. The Mazda had been observed by officers of the Narcotics Enforcement Team circling and suspiciously loitering in the parking lot. A subsequent investigation led to the recovery of 30 bags of heroin and approximately 10 grams of MDMA (Ecstacy). In addition, a small quantity of marijuana was recovered along with drug paraphernalia.
Clinton was placed under arrest and transported to Manchester Police headquarters where he was later released on complaint summonses pending court.
Ocean County Sheriff’s Officer Kevin Fennessy and his K-9 Stosh also assisted in the investigation.
