A Point Pleasant woman and a Toms River man face heroin distribution charges after an investigation by the Manchester Township Police Division.

Patricia Sholander, 22, of Howe Street in Pt. Pleasant and Brian Price, 24, of Spanish Wells Road in Toms River were charged by Manchester Township Police with distribution of heroin, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of hypodermic syringes following a motor vehicle stop.

The Officers conducted the stop on a Mercedes Benz in the area Route 571 and Route 547 on January 21, 2015. As a result of further investigation, a quantity of heroin was found concealed within the vehicle. In total, police seized 94 bags of heroin with an approximate street value of $940.

Sholander and Price were both taken to Ocean County Jail, Toms River. Bail was set at $10,000 with a 10 percent option for Scholander and $20,000 with a10 percent option for Price.

Leading the investigation were Sgt. James Komsa, Patrolman Peter Manco and Patrolman Christian Nazario of the Manchester Township Police. They were also assisted by Ocean County Sheriffs K-9 Officer James Kohout.
