On May 5, 2015, at approximately 11:50 p.m., David A. Behr, 50, from Anchor Avenue in Beachwood was stopped for motor vehicle violations by Patrolman Keith Craig of the Manchester Township Police Patrol Bureau. Behr exhibited signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested for Driving While Impaired.
Further investigation revealed that Behr was in possession of 494 bags of heroin. Behr was charged with one count each of possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession of heroin, possession of hypodermic needles and possession of drug paraphernalia. Behr was lodged in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $5,000.00 bail, no ten percent option.
