The Manchester Township Police Narcotics Enforcement Team arrested two Monroe Township residents Monday evening after a quantity of heroin, Oxycodone and drug paraphernalia was found inside the vehicle they were operating. Police arrested Anthony Durbin, age 27, and Stephen Durbin, age 24, both of Fresh Pond Road in Monroe, after a traffic stop on Route 547. The department’s Narcotics Enforcement Team conducted the traffic stop of the Ford Mustang the men were traveling in for equipment and seatbelt violations.
During the stop, drug paraphernalia associated with the use of heroin was located in plain view. The vehicle was later towed to Manchester Police headquarters where a search warrant was executed. During the search, twenty wax folds of heroin, Oxycodone and associated drug paraphernalia were found concealed inside of the vehicle.
The driver, Anthony Durbin, and the passenger, Stephen Durbin, were both arrested and charged with possession of heroin, possession of Oxycodone and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $5,000.00 for each subject and they were both transported to Ocean County Jail in default of bail. The Brick Township Police Department K-9 unit, Ptl. Fogarty and his K-9, Rigby, assisted with this investigation.
