The Manchester Township Police Department is pleased to welcome Patrolman Conner Ferino, who was sworn in by Mayor Rob Arace on March 4, 2024, in front of family, friends, police and township personnel.

“When a new Patrolman joins the Manchester Township Police Department, our residents can rest assured that top-tier candidates like Ptl. Ferino are selected to represent our agency,” said Chief Robert Dolan. “Only those individuals who are truly dedicated to excelling in the service of their community can successfully navigate our department’s intensive hiring process.”

Ptl. Ferino grew up in Manchester Township and is in the process of completing his Criminal Justice degree at Rutgers University. He began his law enforcement career in 2022 with the Point Pleasant Beach Police Department as a Special Law Enforcement Officer Class I. A recent graduate of the Ocean County Police Academy, Ptl. Ferino achieved the High Overall award in recognition of his outstanding performance in firearms proficiency, physical fitness, and academics.

Chief Dolan explained that the intensive Manchester Township Police Department hiring process for the position of Patrolman began in July of 2023, when approximately 80 individuals submitted their applications for employment. Ptl. Ferino will begin the Manchester Police Department’s intensive twelve-week Field Training and Evaluation Program, during which time he will be instructed and mentored by several highly trained officers.

“I’m confident that Ptl. Ferino will serve the residents of our community with honor and integrity,” said Chief Dolan. “I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mayor Robert Arace, members of the Township Council, and Township Administration for facilitating this new hire. Their continued support of our police department and mission to serve our residents to a high level is appreciated.”
