Two Ocean County residents were charged with multiple narcotic related charges after being stopped in a motor vehicle on State Highway 37 in the area of Colonial Drive. 

On April 18, 2019, members of the Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET) observed a vehicle in the area of County Route 547 and County Route 571.  The vehicle was later stopped and further investigation led to a search of the vehicle. The search resulted in the recovery of multiple articles of drug paraphernalia.   

The Passenger, 27 year old Amanda Robinson of Beachwood was subsequently placed under arrest.  During the booking process at police headquarters a total of 200 bags of heroin, having a street value of $900 was found to be in her possession. Robinson was charged with one count each of Possession and Possession with the Intent to Distribute Heroin, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Loitering to Distribute CDS. 

The driver, 40 year old Jahad Evans of Brick was charged with Conspiracy to Possess Heroin. Robinson was released on a summons and a complaint warrant was issued for Evans who was later lodged at the Ocean County Jail.        

Also assisting in the investigation were members of the Manchester Township Police K9 Unit.
