On Nov. 8, 2014, at 12:30 p.m., Manchester Township Police responded to 2B Conestoga Drive in the Whiting section of the township for the report of a single vehicle crash into the garage of the residence.
When patrol units arrived they observed a 2001 Ford Escort operated by 84-year-old Mary Crichton of Manchester partially into the garage of the residence. Ms. Crichton was properly restrained at the time of the crash, and complained of leg pain. She was subsequently transported to Community Medical Center by Quality Medical Transport for her injuries.
The crash is currently under investigation by Patrolman Nicholas Greenwood. The building inspector deemed the property safe for habitation with damage limited primarily to the garage door and vehicle.
Assisting at the crash were the following agencies; Whiting Volunteer Fire Company, Quality Medical Transport, and the Manchester Township Building Inspector.
