Terese L. Powell, age 51 of Ewing Township was charged on April 30 with credit card fraud and identity theft following a multi-jurisdictional investigation which included: Manchester Township Police, Logan Township Police and West Windsor Township Police.
The investigation, led by Manchester Township Patrolman Dave Fusaro, determined that Powell had fraudulently used credit cards to purchase electronics at Best Buy and Wal-Mart stores located throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Powell ultimately shipped the purchases to a co-conspirator located in the Republic of Ghana.
Powell was released from custody after posting $10,000 bail. Additional charges are pending.
