On Monday October 21, 2013 Officers from the Manchester Township Police Investigations Bureau and Patrol Bureau executed a court authorized search warrant on Scranton Ave in the Wynnewood section of the Township. The resident, 38 year old Darren J. Kross was suspected of growing marijuana on his property. Detective Albert Vega and Detective Adam Emmons conducted the initial investigation which lead to the approval of a search warrant for the property. During the execution of the search warrant more than 350 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, scales and packaging equipment were seized. The suspect, Darren J. Kross, was not at the residence at the time, but turned himself in to Manchester Police Headquarters later that evening. After being processed for his arrest, Darren J. Kross was transported to Ocean County Jail in Default of $25,000.00 bail. Darren J. Kross was charged with Possession with the intent to distribute less than 5 pounds of marijuana, Possession of more than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Also assisting in the investigation was Ocean County Sheriffs Officer Ted Wielichoski and his K-9 Nash.
