On 04/07/2013 at 03:59 pm police responded to an address on Hancock Drive, Whiting in reference to a Missing elderly male. The elderly male’s daughter advised police that her father, 86 year old Louis Porco had left his residence at 1:00 pm and was expected to be back home at 2:00 pm. When he didn’t return, the daughter contacted Manchester Police. Louis was said to be driving a 2006 Chevy Impala 4 door color gray. Officer John Decker investigated the incident and a Silver Alert was issued through the New Jersey State Police. At 8:09 pm Manchester Dispatch received a phone call from the NYPD stating that they had located Mr. Porco in good health in his vehicle in the Bronx. An officer from the NYPD remained with Mr. Porco until family members arrived to ensure his safety.
