On Dec. 9, 2014, Manchester Township Police responded to a disturbance call in the Pine Lake Park section of town. Upon Officers arrival, it was learned that those involved in the disturbance had fled the scene in a motor vehicle.  A description of the vehicle was given at which point it was observed leaving the scene and a motor vehicle stop was conducted.

During the course of the investigation, Officers developed information regarding the distribution of heroin and consent to search the vehicle was granted on scene.  The search of the vehicle yielded a quantity of heroin, marijuana, as well as assorted drug paraphernalia.

The two men in the vehicle, John B. Buono II, 21, of Burke Road in Jackson, and Michael Ritz, 21, of Commodore Boulevard in Jackson, were both charged with heroin possession. They were transported to Ocean County Jail on $10,000 bail.
