On September 24, 2012, at approximately 510pm, 60 year old Judith Morollo, of Mill Road, Whiting, was traveling West on Route 530 attempting to make a left turn onto Lake Road. 55 year old Donald Bauman, of Partridge Place, Whiting, was riding a bicycle East on Route 530 approaching the intersection of Lake Road. As the driver of the Honda was making a left turn onto Lake Road, the bicyclist collided with the driver’s 2012 Honda Civic. The bicyclist sustained minor injuries and he refused medical treatment at the scene. The driver of the Honda was not injured. There was road construction taking place along Route 530 at the time of this incident. This accident is being investigated by Ptl. Tom O’Hare, of the Traffic Safety Unit.
