On December 24, 2012 Manchester Township Police Officers were dispatched to the Pine Acres Manor section of the township for a report of a possible burglary and altercation involving a knife. Upon arrival, officers conducted an investigation which led to the arrest of Roy King, age 52, of Manchester. King was charged with making terroristic threats, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. Officers determined that King had been in the development checking on his friend’s trailer, while his friend was on vacation when a resident of the neighborhood confronted him as to what he (King) was doing in the area. The incident subsequently escalated to a point where the threatened use of the knife took place. King was processed and later released from custody on his own recognizance pending court. The incident was investigated by Ptl. J. Reilly, Ptl. J. Decker, Ptl. S. Wendruff, and Det. A. Emmons.
