On Sept. 24, 2014, at 1:05 a.m., Manchester Township Police responded to 16 Bluebird Lane in the township’s Whiting section for a hit and run motor vehicle crash report.
The caller reported that a vehicle struck her residence and fled the scene. Upon arrival, Officers located the suspect vehicle parked in the driveway of an Eagle Lane home, also located in the Pine Ridge section of Whiting.
The 1995 Buick Road Master, operated by 41-year-old Whiting resident Sandra Schaible-Davis, sustained extensive front end damage. Mrs. Schaible-Davis was traveling south on Bluebird Lane and left the roadway at the intersection of Eagle Lane. The vehicle then struck a stop sign and the residence. Mrs. Schaible-Davis then fled the scene.
The residence sustained extensive damage to the area of the front porch. Manchester Township Building Inspector Michael Martin was contacted and responded to the scene, deeming the residence to be safe and inhabitable.
There were no reported injuries as a result of the collision, which is currently under investigation by Patrolman Keith Craig of the Manchester Township Police.
