On September 2, 2015, at approximately 8:26 p.m., members of the Manchester Township Police Narcotics Enforcement Team conducted a motor vehicle stop of a 2004 Hyundai Sonata on Route 571 near the border with Toms River. The vehicle was stopped after it was observed traveling with an inoperable tail lamp.

During the course of the stop, the driver, 32 year old Ryan Tomson of Beverly Drive in Forked River, exhibited signs of heroin use. While officers were conducting the investigation, the rear seat passenger, 31 year old Allison Wujack of Sunrise Boulevard, Forked River, was observed attempting to conceal an item under the seat. The item was immediately seized at which time a quantity of heroin was recovered.

A search of the vehicle was conducted which resulted in the recovery of an additional quantity of heroin and associated paraphernalia. In total, 168 plastic bags containing heroin were seized during the traffic stop. Also arrested was the front seat passenger, 33 year old Michael Giresi of Sunrise Boulevard in Forked River.

All three subjects were transported to Manchester Police headquarters where each was processed and charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. Tomson was also charged with possession of hypodermic needles and he was issued traffic summonses for maintenance of lamps and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle.

Bail for Tomson and Giresi was set at $5,000.00 with a 10 percent option and the bail for Wujack was set at $2,500.00 with a 10 percent option. All three subjects were transported to Ocean County Jail in default of bail.
