Manchester Township Police and the Office of Emergency Management are urging residents located in the areas of the Township that are prone to flooding, to seek shelter in advance of the impending storm with friends or family outside the affected areas.
If residents are unable to shelter with friends and family, they can seek shelter at the following locations:
Toms River High School North, 1245 Old Freehold Road, Toms River NJ (Opens 10/28 @ 4pm)
Southern Regional High School, 90 Cedar Bridge Road, Manahawkin NJ (Opens 10/28 @ 12 noon)
Pinelands Regional Junior High School, 590 Nugget Town Road, Tuckerton NJ (Opens 10/28 @ 8pm)
Please ensure that you have enough supplies to take care of yourself and your family for up to 7 days. Items should include:
• Medications
• Blanket, Pillow etc.
• Personal Toiletries
• Non-perishable foods with manual can opener
• Water
• Cash
• Extra Clothing
• Flashlight & Battery Operated Radio
• SPECIAL NEEDS items:
o INFANT care items
o Items for ELDERLY family members
o Items for relatives with DISABILITIES
