On October 19, 2012, a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Peter Manco, of The Manchester Township Police Department led to the arrest of two adult males for controlled dangerous substance violations. Items seized during the motor vehicle stop investigation included; 150 wax paper folds containing heroin, multiple empty wax paper folds, a hypodermic needle and $4,501.00 in cash. Arrested was 31 year old Alan Arons of Bayville, N.J. When questioned, Alan Arons provided police with a false name of Robert Arons and was later identified by fingerprints as Alan Arons. Alan Arons was charged with; Possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute, Possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and hindering apprehension. Also arrested was 23 year old James Steele, of Bayville N.J. James Steele was charged with Possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic needle. Patrolman Peter Manco of the Manchester Police Department signed the complaints against Alan Arons, who was lodged in Ocean County Jail in lieu of $27,500.00 bail with no 10% option including multiple outstanding motor vehicle warrants from Brick Township and Tinton Falls. Ptl. Manco also signed the charges against James Steele who was also lodged in Ocean County Jail in lieu of $2,500.00 bail with no 10% option.
