Members of the Manchester Township Police, Patrol and Investigations Bureau’s, have been investigating motor vehicle burglaries which have been occurring throughout the township. Vehicle burglaries have been reported in the Pine Lake Park, Holly Oaks, Renaissance, Leisure Village, Leisure Knoll, Pine Ridge and Crestwood Village sections of the Township. The suspect(s) generally enter unlocked vehicles during the middle of the night and take items of value. During several vehicle burglaries which occurred in the Renaissance Community, Adam Degraw 27 years old from Torino Road in Renaissance, was arrested and charged with the burglaries, including the vehicle theft of a 2008 Lexus SUV from a resident in Renaissance.

If you have residential video footage that may be of value to any of these investigations or have recorded suspicious activity, please contact Manchester PD at your earliest convenience. Most of the burglaries go unreported to the police for various reasons, however we urge all residents to contact the police if they have been the victim of a crime. The arrest of the Degraw was the result of a cooperative effort by the Manchester Township Police Patrol and Investigations Bureaus and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department K-9 and Criminalistics Investigative Units. We would also like to remind all Township residents to keep all residential and vehicle doors and windows locked and to immediately report suspicious persons or activity to Manchester Police at 732-657-6111
