The Manchester Township Police Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET) arrested two Manchester residents for heroin possession/distribution early Saturday morning. 

Alex Ciccone, 28, of the Pine Acres Manor section of Manchester, and Brittany Parker, 21, of the Pine Lake section of Manchester, were arrested at approximately 12:29 am as a result of a narcotics related surveillance operation. The Manchester Police Narcotics Enforcement Team conducted a traffic stop on a 1998 Ford F150, operated by Ms. Parker and occupied by Mr. Ciccone as the front seat passenger, on Mule Road in the area of State Highway 37 in Toms River.          

During the course of the motor vehicle stop, Mr. Ciccone was found to be in possession of three hundred (300) wax folds of heroin on his person. An additional ten bags were located within the vehicle. The investigation revealed that the seized heroin was purchased in Trenton and was intended to be sold/distributed throughout the Ocean County area.         

Mr. Ciccone was charged with distribution of heroin, possession of heroin, hindering his own apprehension by concealing evidence, possession of a hypodermic needle and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ms. Parker was charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Ciccone and Ms. Parker were released on criminal summonses pending court.

Ptl. Martucci and his K-9 Cyrus, of the Toms River Police Department’s K-9 Unit, as well as units from the Toms River Police Department’s Patrol Division assisted in the investigation. The vehicle and $590.00 in cash were seized.
