Michael Brancolino Jr, 49, was arrested by Ptl. Anthony Iliadis for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and paraphernalia as a result of a motor vehicle stop. Subsequent investigation resulted in a search warrant being issued and executed at his home located at 23 Fennel Ct., Whiting. Thirty-nine grams of marijuana, digital scales, other drug paraphernalia, and a Walther .177cal BB gun were seized at the residence. Brancolino was remanded to the Ocean County Jail in default of $50,000.00 bail, with no ten percent option, set by Judge D. Sahin. Brancolino is charged with Possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of crack cocaine, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a weapon, and certain persons not to have weapons. Assisting in the investigation were Ptl. Patrick Cervenak, Det. Danny Barker, and Det. Albert Vega.
