Our Officers were proud to teach the first #NotEvenOnce Train the Trainer session at Manchester Police Department headquarters yesterday.
The #NotEvenOnce program, which was developed by our Officers to teach 12th grade students about the dangers of opiates, has already made a positive impact in our school district. It is a proud moment that we can share this program with other law enforcement agencies and school districts from throughout the state.
#NotEvenOnce has met all of the New Jersey State High School curriculum standards for health classes and was developed to help combat the opiate epidemic. It touches on a common theme Officers often hear when they speak with a person addicted to opiates — if they hadn’t of tried opiates even once, they never would have become addicted and encountered the numerous health, legal, and social issues that are associated with opiate addiction.
