On June 10, 2015 at approximately 2:43 p.m., Manchester Township Police responded to the 1200 Block of Second Avenue in the township’s Pine Lake Park section for the report of a residential burglary in progress. A caller reported witnessing a woman attempting to enter a neighboring home through a first story window. Prior to police arrival, the witness reported that the suspect had fallen from the window and proceeded to leave the scene on foot.

A neighborhood canvas was subsequently conducted by Detective Adam Guker, Patrolman Richard Conklin and Patrolman Michael Steffen. During the investigation, information was received regarding the identity of the suspect, who was identified as Jamie Gallo, age 31.  It was also learned that the suspect lived at a residence which was in close proximity to the scene of the crime.  Gallo was subsequently located and placed under arrest. While at the suspect’s residence, a household member reported the theft of jewelry and two cell phones that he believed had been stolen by the suspect. Through the course of the investigation, several of these items, as well as heroin and drug paraphernalia, were located in Gallo’s possession.

It was later discovered at police headquarters that Gallo had hidden an additional 10 decks of heroin on her person. Gallo was subsequently charged with one count of burglary, two counts of theft, one count of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, and one count of possession of a hypodermic needle.
