A 74 year old Whiting resident reported to Manchester Police on November 17th that a former household member and family friend had taken her Debit Card without permission and charged over $3000.00 in purchases and cash advances.  The suspect, Christopher Lynch (age 47 of Toms River) had been living with the victim for several months and during that time had also stolen and forged the victim’s name on several bank checks which he later cashed. Manchester Police Officers: Paul Bachovchin and Kyle Rickvalsky investigated the incident and later filed charges against Lynch for Forgery, Identity Theft, Fraudulent use of a Credit Card, and Theft.  Lynch was located and arrested today (November 26th) without incident by Berkley Township Police at his family’s Berkley Township residence.  Berkley Police subsequently transported Lynch to Manchester Police Headquarters where he was processed and charged with the above criminal offenses.  Lynch was also found to have a $600.00 arrest warrant out of Marlboro Township which he paid in full.  Lynch was later lodged in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $30,000 Bail.
